QT Hotel - Perth — Handwerk

Handwerk created a range of stylish bespoke furniture and cabinetry for the QT Hotel, Perth.

Level 18 Rooftop Bar:

In the iconic QT Rooftop Bar we brought interior architect’s Nick Graham & Associates vision to life. A highly-challenging and exacting brief, we were able to use our experience and creativity to deliver a contemporary and stylish space, incorporating glass, stone, upholstery, lighting and cabinetry. We custom-built all the seating, the restrooms, the shelving, the main bar, the tables, the mirrors, waiter station, and DJ booth.

Santini Bar & Grill:

After seeing our work on Level 18 we were brought to build custom made dining tables and display tables for the QT Santini Bar & Grill (Level 1). We used solid brass for the table tops and edging, and marble with brass edging to create a stylish retro ambience.

Entrance Doors:

We hand-made the QT’s grand, 4.5 metre, solid copper entrance doors and their Tasmanian Oak frames with 200mm x 150mm solid timber nosing. Each door weighs 500kg. We also designed the solid brass plated entrance, which houses the CCTV cameras and intercom.

We were thrilled to be commissioned to build these doors and, while we love all the jobs we work on, this remains one of our proudest accomplishments.

Boardroom Table:

Interior Architect Nick Graham & Associates designed a two-toned American White Oak boardroom table with multi-colored stain, solid timber edging and brass drum legs to support the vast 3.2m diameter board room table. We enlisted specialist veneer presses, and carefully machined the highly complex edge detail to bring a professional and contemporary finish to this outstanding piece.

It’s aways wonderful to be commissioned to build loose furniture, and when we deliver this in conjunction with an interior fitout, it’s rewarding to see a consistently high-quality product throughout a commercial venue.

Acoustic Ceiling:

We seamlessly incorporated acoustic panelling into the Santini Bar ceiling space in order to assist in the delivery of quality musical experiences QT Hotel is renowned for.
